Here are some of the latest products released from Hikvision:
Updated 27th August 2019
Hikvision, the world’s leading provider of innovative video surveillance products and solutions, has announced a new range of network cameras: Pro Series 4.0. Building on the capabilities of its Pro Series 3.0 range, these provide simple, practical and affordable surveillance solutions for small and medium size businesses.
The Pro Series 4.0 products are built on Hikvision’s H.265+ Smart Codec technology, which reduces bandwidth and storage requirements by up to 50% over the H.265 video compression standard, delivering major IT savings for businesses.
As an additional benefit, the Pro Series 4.0 range introduces several new technology innovations to help businesses maximise their surveillance and security. These include:
Hikvision AcuSense
The integration of Hikvision AcuSense into the Pro Series 4.0 IP cameras helps to reduce false alarms by up to 70%, providing faster reaction times for real security threats. Hikvision AcuSense works by detecting and categorising humans or vehicles, while effectively reducing false alarms triggered by natural movements, such as rain or leaves.
Hikvision AcuSense cameras also incorporate Hikvision’s “Powered by DarkFighter” ultra-low-light illumination technology, which provides superior surveillance images, even at night. Combined with ultra-high-definition video capabilities, Powered by DarkFighter ensures that organisations can identify and react to security threats effectively, and provide high quality video evidence in the event of a security breach.
The “Quick target search” feature is now supported by Hikvision standard K and I series NVRs, which allows security teams to find footage quickly in the event of a security incident. This feature can save many man-hours for teams otherwise restricted to searching for footage manually.
Hikvision ColorVu
Pro Series 4.0 ColorVu cameras use warm, supplemental lighting to deliver bright colour video images, even at night. Round-the-clock colour-boosting capabilities are powered by an F1.0 super aperture, a more advanced sensor, warm supplemental lighting, and a range of other technologies. With brighter, more colourful video, Pro Series 4.0 ColorVu cameras support protection against security breaches whenever they happen, day or night.

Please note: Hikvision false alarm reduction technology is optimised by environmental and installation factors including but not limited to supplemental light levels, day/night image quality/performance, installation position & angle, and setup, etc. The false alarm reduction rate stated above is NOT automatically guaranteed, because it depends upon the installer getting the best performance accounting for key factors, and accurately following the installation guide provided via the Hikvision UK website.
Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier of innovative security products and solutions, has introduced new AcuSense network camera series to its EasyIP 4.0 security solutions. Featuring a strobe light and an audio alarm, the new cameras can immediately deter intruders from entering a prohibited site, further enhancing the safety of premises and property.
At the core: faster, more accurate intrusion detection
Importantly, Hikvision AcuSense network cameras build on the same cutting-edge intrusion detection functionality found within the existing Hikvision EasyIP 4.0 security solutions.
When a potential threat is detected by the camera, it uses its intelligent false alarm reduction technology to disregard irrelevant movements, such as rain, leaves and animals. Instead, the camera focuses on human or vehicle movement, dramatically reducing the number of false alarms for faster, more accurate intrusion detection.
An enhanced deterrent: strobe lighting and alarm
Once a potential intruder has been accurately detected, the AcuSense network camera triggers the built-in strobe light and audio alarm. This is designed to warn the intruder off before they attempt to breach the perimeter. The volume of the audio alarm and the brightness of the strobe light can be adjusted to suit the environment.

Reliable operation, day or night
The AcuSense network camera range can deliver this powerful intrusion detection and prevention at all times of day or night. Powered by Hikvision DarkFighter technology, all cameras in the range deliver superior surveillance images, even in ultra-low light.
Four products to suit different applications
The new AcuSense network cameras are available in bullet and turret styles, and in 2MP or 4MP resolution, making a total of four different camera options available.
Better service, greater peace of mind
Frank Zhang, General Manager of International Product Marketing Department at Hikvision says, “AcuSense technology is already cutting-edge. By adding the strobe light and the alarm, we can now give our customers the chance to prevent incidents from happening in the first place, for even better security. We’re delighted to be able to help our customers protect their property in ever more valuable ways.”
Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier of innovative security products and solutions, launches the latest generation Turbo HD Series – Turbo HD X, which is a complete system to help stopping intruders in real-time, and avoiding damage and loss of property.
From passive monitoring to active deterrence, in a wide variety of applications
The Hikvision Turbo HD X series of cameras has a built-in detector that captures infrared light emitted by human bodies, distinguishing it from other visual ‘noise’. Once the camera detects a potential intruder, its built-in siren flashes red and blue light and a loud sound with the aim of frightening the intruder away.
The Turbo HD X series can support a broad range of perimeter protection and security system processes for in-process warning, and evidence collection after an event. It enables transformation of the traditional monitoring and post-event investigation approach, and helps to change perimeter protection from passive monitoring to active deterrence in order to protect people and assets. It can be used in warehouses, residences, jewellery stores and more.
A complete end-to-end system
More importantly, the Turbo HD X is a complete and unified system, featuring front-end devices linking to back-end devices and a remote application. As the front-end alarm sends a warning to potential intruders, the system also triggers an alarm at the back-end, to notify security personnel. Users can also receive alarm information remotely, via an application on their mobile devices.
Even better false-alarm reduction
Turbo HD X cameras can also be integrated with Hikvision’s cutting-edge AcuSense DVRs. The intelligent false-alarm reduction technology within these DVRs will disregard irrelevant movements picked up by the camera – such as rain, leaves and animals – and instead focus exclusively on human or vehicle movement. Together, this integrated solution dramatically reduces the number of false alarms, and ensures security staff focus on actual targets for greater efficiency.
Building on already impressive functionality
All of this builds on the impressive functionality that has been delivered by Hikvision’s Turbo HD DVRs and cameras since their launch in 2013. In addition to impressive HD image clarity, the last six years of Turbo HD products have delivered a wealth of innovations to the market, including super-efficient bandwidth and storage usage and ultra-low-light video recording – all helping customers to enhance their security and perimeter protection.
Frank Zhang, the President of the International Product and Solution Center at Hikvision says, “Once again, we are bringing fresh ideas and new possibilities to the industry. Usually, video surveillance records are only searched for evidence after someone has suffered the consequences of an intrusion. However, criminals may give up further actions if they believe their behaviour has been detected. By stopping intruders in their tracks, the Hikvision Turbo HD X can help our customers to avoid costly damage and loss of property.”
